Tara is seeking a dynamic and dedicated HSIE Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. This newly created role reflects increasing demand across our History and Social Sciences subjects, offering a unique opportunity to shape and deliver high-quality Humanities education in a values-based environment.
About the Role
You will teach a combination of HSIE subjects (e.g., primarily History with scope to extend to Geography, Economics &/or Business Studies) across Years 7–12. The successful candidate will be committed to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and innovative pedagogy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and rigorous HSIE lessons aligned with IB and HSC standards.
- Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning.
- Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Uphold the Christian ethos and values of the school in all aspects of teaching and community life.
About You
- Qualified teacher with accreditation to teach in NSW.
- Experience teaching HSIE subjects at Stage 6 level (IB and/or HSC).
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and reflective practice.
- Alignment with the school’s Anglican values and educational philosophy.
