The opportunity
Kristin School is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school on Auckland’s North Shore. It provides education for over 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13, with dual pathways through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate programme.
We are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our Wellness Centre team to coordinate service-based projects across the school. This role is responsible for our “Base Days” for students to explore values, religion and faith, as well as biculturalism. As part of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) curriculum this role coordinates community projects for our Year 10 students each year. This newly designed role reports to our Director of Wellbeing and will participate in a supportive induction and orientation programme.
Important Skills
This role requires an experienced teacher who is knowledgeable in wellbeing or values-based education, passionate about community service and helping people, committed to internationalism and innovative learning, highly organised, tech savvy and committed to Kristin’s values; “Progress with vision, integrity and love”. Training in the IB or NCEA curriculum is provided.
