The study of Humanities at The Friends’ School encourages learners to think critically, communicate clearly, develop a global perspective and gain a deeper understanding of their own historical and contemporary contexts as well as the contexts of others. Humanities at The Friends’ School incorporates key elements of the Australian Curriculum (7-10) and offers certified courses in both the Tasmanian Certificate of Education and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (11-12).
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational teacher of Humanities to work alongside and lead our students as they develop skills and dispositions to thrive in the 21st Century. We encourage both beginning and experienced professionals to join our community of lifelong learners by applying for this position. Relevant qualifications to teach Years 11 and 12 Humanities courses will be desirable although it is not an essential requirement.
This permanent, full-time position commences at the beginning of Semester 1, 2023.
