After 15 years of distinguished service as College Principal, Mr Peter Daw has announced that he will retire from Mercedes College at the end of Term 2 2019.

The College Chair invites applications from innovative, contemporary and experienced educators to take up the position of Principal in January 2020, or earlier by negotiation.

Mercedes College is a co-educational Reception to Year 12 Catholic school grounded in the Mercy tradition. It is one of only a few schools world-wide to offer all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). It is nestled at the base of the Adelaide Foothills, 6km south of the city centre of Adelaide, South Australia.

The Principal is responsible for providing outstanding visionary Catholic educational leadership. They will do this by embracing and living out the mission through:

• Leading in ways consistent with a strong commitment to, and understanding of, the Mercy tradition and contemporary Catholic theology.
• Modelling the characteristics of integrity, personal excellence, justice and compassion
• Motivating staff, inspiring students and building relationships with the community.
