Radford is looking for crossing supervisors to provide School Crossing Supervision on our Campus. Multiple positions are available.
 

Fixed term part-time 

Crossing Supervisors are sought to provide School Crossing supervision. Applications are invited for these positions, commencing ASAP.

The opportunity

Restrictions on physical interaction in response to the COVID-19 pandemic have created an increase in the volume of traffic being experienced in our College grounds.  As a result, the opportunity has arisen for School Crossing Supervisors to support College staff by ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students, parents and staff at peak school drop-off and pick-up times.

About the role

Taking responsibility for the crossings on internal roads, Radford’s School Crossing Supervisors will play an important role in campus road safety. The positions would suit people who enjoy working with children and interacting with parents and staff, building trust and confidence through their engagement with others. Alert and aware of their surroundings, School Crossing Supervisors enable a steady flow of traffic, enforce all road rules and ensure children exit their cars and move to the footpaths safely.

The hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 07:55am – 08:55am and 2:55pm – 3:55pm.

Qualifications

  • Applicants will undertake on the job training
  • Applicants must hold a current WWVP card.  Other appropriate background checks will be carried out prior to any undertaking for the provision of services is agreed
