Radford College is seeking an experienced administrator to undertake a crucial role in supporting the Performing Arts Team. This position is to cover a period of leave in Term 2 and 3 2023. 

Fixed Term, Full-time Term-time only

The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Performing Arts Team for a fixed term, full-time Performing Arts Administrator, for Term 2 and 3 2023 commencing 17 April 2023.

The hours for this role are 8.00 am – 4.06 pm

About the role

Displaying a high degree of initiative and having a proactive attitude, the Performing Arts Administrator undertakes a crucial role in supporting the Performing Arts function of the program. A large component of this role is managing the Performing Arts Library. Experience in a Library role and Library qualification are highly desirable. Applicants must be committed to providing excellent customer service, be collaborative and be able to work effectively in a team. This is a full time, term time only position.

About you

The successful candidate will have had experience working in an office environment and using the MS Office suite extensively.  They will be a confident self-starter who enjoys building relationships with multiple stakeholders both inside and outside of the College, possesses excellent communication skills, has a strong customer-service focus, and can be relied upon to work autonomously. Candidates must:

  • Be technically competent and confident (intermediate to high proficiency) in the MSOffice suite, with the willingness to learn school based systems (Library Management System, Synergetic, NEXUS etc.)
  • Catalogue, maintain and dispose of the Performing Arts Department’s (Curricular and Co-curricular) print and A.V. resources of hire instruments e.g. texts, sheet music, study scores, scripts, DVDs, CDs using Radford’s Library Management System
  • Assist with maintenance of Radford’s Public Website, Nexus, and the Bulletin
  • Demonstrate a passion for collaborative working as a member of a high-functioning team, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic and demonstrate a willingness to grow through the sharing of best practice and professional experience
  • Possess excellent communications skills both written and verbal, as well as excellent time management skills
  • Commit to the safeguarding and promotion of student welfare

Qualifications

  • Experience in cataloging and maintaining the performing arts department’s instruments and equipment.
  • Expert proficiency in the computer and technical arena, including MS Office proficiency
  • Experience in library role and Library qualifications are desirable
