Position Summary:

The role of the TAS Industrial Technology Assistant is to liaise with teaching staff on their needs for practical work playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the learning environment. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, overseeing classroom cleanliness, and organising storerooms and supplies to facilitate smoother operations for both teachers and students. 

The successful applicant will have:

  • The successful applicant will have studied design or have industry experience.
  • High level of computer-aided design skills (Adobe suite, 3D software (Onshape) and other applications that interface industrial machines)
  • Well-developed administration skills.
  • Experience using a variety of industrial equipment.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Good planning and problem-solving skills.
  • High-level administrative and organisational skills.
  • Be confident to represent student needs to teaching staff and Heads of Departments.
  • A flexible and innovative approach to work.
  • Outstanding professional presentation and manner.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a dynamic organisation.
  • Current Working with Children Check (NSW WWCC).
  • Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
  • Membership of a local Christian church or community.
