IB Diploma Coordinator - founding of the IB Diploma Programme
Living School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and exceptional IB Leader to take the school from candidacy to registered IB DP school!
This is an opportunity to launch the IB Diploma Program from scratch in an area that abounds with beauty, 40 minutes away from Byron Bay and Lennox Head. Lismore is in the heart of the hinterland, and has access to sub-tropical rainforest, the Northern Rivers, indigenous culture, rural landscapes and an eclectic community of artisans.
The successful candidate will be willing to live in the area, work proactively to launch the IB DP as the only single stream focus - we are not looking to offer the HSC, which means our sole focus will be the Diploma Programme pathway towards tertiary entrance.
This position would be to lead and manage the Years 9-12 Academy. The successful candidate would manage the day-to-day running of the Academy through a period of sustained growth and development. The Academy is situated in the heart of the Southern Cross University campus, and has established a great relationship with the university.
We have a small cohort in the final years of the Academy, as we graduated our first Y12 class only in 2023.

SCHOOL BACKGROUND:
Living School opened its doors in January 2020, registered and accredited by NESA. It is a progressive small school that has grown to a roll of 260 students K-12, withstanding COVID and historic floods.
The school has three Learning Neighbourhoods: Primary (Kindy to Y4); Middle School (Yrs 5 - 8); Academy (Yrs 9-12). We are based in the heart of Lismore, utilising the Southern Cross University and a purpose built little campus opposite the Lismore TAFE. We also have access to Lennox Head farmland.
