We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who has a passion for teaching students within the MYP curriculum framework and SACE. Qualifications and/or experience in Christian Studies will be important in this role.
The teacher will have skills and capacity to teach Christian Studies applying teaching and learning approaches which engage students and encourage them to achieve their best. Creativity and an understanding of an inquiry approach to teaching and learning will be essential.
The Christian Studies component commencing Term 2 is likely to be approx. 0.6FTE. This will vary over the year due to the timetable structure.
To bring the FTE to approx. 0.8 relief lessons will be allocated– the number of relief lessons will increase as Christian Studies commitments reduce.
The teacher will be part of a team of teachers who follow, review and further develop current units of work. Working collaboratively with colleagues will be central to the role in the Middle School.
The ability to teach other subjects will be viewed favourably.
