Nestled within a beautiful setting, the Central Coast Steiner School is a thriving independent school with over 300 students. We have a beautiful bushland campus and outstanding facilities, and we are located not far from the beaches of the Central Coast. We are seeking an accomplished Mathematics and/or Science Teacher to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity commencing Term 1, 2025. 

The successful applicant will be an engaging teacher who demonstrates creativity and rigour in delivering the curriculum and who can foster warm, supportive relationships with students as our school prepares to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program beginning in 2025. As a Mathematics and Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for math and science and helping students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

We will be offering Mathematics Analysis and Interpretation and Environmental Systems and Societies from January 2025. 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge, competence and confidence in Mathematics and Science
  • Programming, lesson planning, assessment and reporting
  • Create engaging and effective instructional materials and resources
  • Modifying teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Provide effective feedback to students in order to improve their understanding and learning
  • Contribute to the school's commitment to a well-rounded, rich, and distinctive curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, upholding our Steiner philosophy

Requirements:

  • Ability to teach IB Diploma Mathematics (AI) and/or Science or HSC
  • Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW & current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Have a passion for teaching the relevant subject area(s) and relevant teaching experience
  • Have NESA recognised tertiary educational qualifications
  • Be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development
