Radford College is an Anglican co-educational day school catering for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. The College is located in the Canberra suburb of Bruce.

We are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified teacher to lead our Mathematics Department. This leadership position is for a period of 5 years and a permanent teaching role.

We are seeking energetic and passionate educators who create engaging and dynamic learning experiences for our students. Applicants must be committed to collaborative and reflective practice and be able to work effectively in a team.

The Role

The position has responsibility for the Mathematics department within the Secondary School, including leading, directing and supporting the pedagogical approach within the Secondary School and provision of instructional leadership, advice and information.

Skills and Attributes

Candidates should possess extensive teaching experience and subject knowledge, be an expert teaching practitioner and have strong leadership skills.

To be successful in the role, the Head of Mathematics must be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills both written and verbal, excellent organisational skills and strong ICT skills.

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualification recognised by the ACT Department of Education
  • Registration as a teacher with the Teacher Quality Institute, including WWVP
  • Current First Aid
