Year 7-12 Full-Time Mathematics Teacher

  • Al Zahra College is seeking to employ a qualified full-time Mathematics teacher who is able to teach years 7-12.
  • IB experience is recommended but not essential.

Al Zahra College is seeking to employ an IB MYP/DP Experienced Mathematics teacher who is able to teach years 7-12. IB experience is not essential but highly regarded.

The successful applicant will need to meet the following criteria:

  • An experienced Mathematics Teacher (Years 7-12) to teach both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) Years 7-10 and Diploma Programme DP (Years 11-12)
  • Knowledge of Years 7-10 NESA Curriculum, MYP and DP Curriculum
  • Have a thorough understanding of program requirements and curriculum planning for students in years 7 to 12 (including those with learning enrichment needs)
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate outstanding behavioural management strategies for students
  • Show a proven ability to effectively engage and motivate students
  • Have the ability to modify instructions to cater for the individual learning needs of students
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate with other teachers, and work as part of a team
  • Possess a strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement and the achievement of high standards
  • A teacher who can quickly form strong relationships with students and teachers within the Faculty, with a willingness to employ a range of teaching methodologies to engage students and enable positive student outcomes.
  • A teacher who purposefully and effectively embraces technology within the classroom.

Essential:

  • Previous experience working as a Mathematics Teacher
  • Relevant teaching qualification in the area of Mathematics
  • Hold current Working with Children Check
  • Have the right to work in Australia
