Hills International College

Hills International College is a co-educational, Prep to Year 12 Independent International school of approximately 500 students, offering unique educational opportunities in an environment where language, culture and activities are shared. Whilst the largest proportion of students attending the College are members of the local community, there are also students attending the College from wider regions of Australia, as well as others from overseas, who either live on campus in the dormitory or live with local families in a homestay environment. By enabling young people of different cultures to mix and learn from each other, the college is preparing a new generation of genuinely global citizens.

Hills International College displays many characteristics which make it unique. We are committed to providing quality academic and sporting facilities where all students have the opportunity to excel. Above all, Hills is an extremely friendly school where new students are made to feel genuinely welcome. Testimony to this is the fact that every year we host visiting student groups from different countries, who often come back year after year to experience Hills’ special brand of hospitality.

Hills International College and Hills International Golf Academy have combined to establish a variety of exciting and unique Golf Education Programs for young golfers. Providing a championship golf course, and state of the art coaching and training techniques, the Academy welcomes golfers of all levels wishing to develop and maximise their potential.

Primary Years Programme (PYP)

Hills College is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students from Prep – Year 6. We encourage the development of the whole child and encourage them to be active, caring, lifelong learners who are equipped to take responsible action against global issues. At Hills, we aim to develop internationally minded students who help to create a better and more peaceful world.

Through the PYP framework, students’ learning is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant. We transcend our students learning beyond the confides of traditional subject areas and connect them to what is real in the world, whilst still teaching the relevant knowledge and skills of the Australian Curriculum.
